Hi, Here is the written pattern for Row 3: This is the first row where I bring in a new yarn color. Change yarn color - CH 1, SC in first ST and next ST, [CH 2, SC between the previous row 3 DC groupings] repeat between the [ ] across the row. End with SC in the last ST just before the loop of the off white yarn. Change the yarn bringing the new color through the loop, tighten the loop and complete a SC in the last ST. Hope it helps. There is no decrease. It is asymmetrical and it gives that illusion. Just keep increasing on one side.

Hi, I just change colors at the end of the row. Often I will carry the yarn up the side if I am adding a border too. I know this is a different pattern, but this link shows changing color and carrying it up the side. The same technique will work for this pattern. Hope it helps.
